Title: Maximising SEO on podcast episodes
Post by: Jenny Wheeler on June 06, 2018, 07:05:42 pm

I'm up to 40 podcasts now and I'm wanting to maximise the reach of my shownotes/blog for each episode.  I put a lot of time into creating them... so want it to be worth it...

I'm looking for an 80/20 guide for podcast SEO - what to devote attention to and what is really not worth the time. (eg alt tags? how impt are they?)

I am doing an author platform podcast at thejoysofbingereading.com  Up till now I've been focusing on building a backlist and not worrying too much about reach - but I think now I need to be refocusing my priorities...

Does Blubrry produce any guide or has anyone come across an authoritative source for this?  I am using Power press as well - there is quite a bewildering range of options back end and its already taking me hours to get it all formatted and posted...
Many thanks  Jenny W

If you're using PowerPress to generate your podcast RSS feed, take a look at its SEO features:
