New episodes not showing up on Feed
« on: August 08, 2017, 10:50:41 pm »
About a month ago, new episodes of my podcast In Strange Company stopped updating on itunes or any other feed. The episodes appear on the website ( http://www.strangecompanyshow.com/ ) and play fine, but nowhere else.
Around the same time I fried my laptop. I was luckily able to replace it with an older one, both macs. As far as I know I am doing the same exact workflow, I'm not sure if this could have contributed somehow.
I upload all my episodes to blubrry, and post them using powerpress using a custom theme.
I've tried to make sure everything is updated. The only thing that isn't is Visual Composer, which is asking me to pay to update.
I've contacted iTunes and they told me it had something to do with my <enclosure> tags, but I'm not sure what that is, or how to fix it. Here is my RSS feed: http://www.strangecompanyshow.com/feed/episodes
Have been stuck on this for quite a while, not sure where to get help. Any support is much appreciated!

I'm noticing that your iTunes information appears twice at the top of the RSS channel. Are you using more than one podcasting plugin? If so, please deactivate one of them, as using two podcasting plugins will cause problems with your feeds.

I am not sure? The only podcasting plug in I know I am using is Powerpress. I have a couple other plug ins on the site but they are for fonts and a calendar. Otherwise, I don't think I am using any podcast-related plugins.

This document has some steps you can follow for diagnosing what might be causing issues with the feed:
https://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/using-powerpress/diagnosing-feed-andor-player-issues-with-powerpress/

I'd recommend trying the steps on that page to see if either your WordPress theme or another plugin is injecting some bad code into the feed. I also noticed that you filed a support ticket which Mike Dell responded to. In order to keep the lines of communication clear, I'm going to lock this thread to future replies. If you have any followup questions, you can include them in your conversation with Mike.
