Males between the ages of 18-24 more likely to download podcasts via iTunes

Two key points from the report:
  • Lots of males.
  • Lots of middle age people.

The second bullet evidently surprised a lot of people. As a 37 year old male I can tell you that its no surprise to me that kids aren't the bulk of the market. Look at the variety of content in podcasting. I think it reflects the variety of people who are involved in the medium as both audience members and producers.

Numbers like these will continue to keep advertisers interested in podcasting as a medium for disseminating their brand messages.
