How do I enter "artist" name for iTunes?
« on: May 14, 2009, 11:47:22 pm »
I've written two podcasts and am listed now in iTunes under "Passion 101".  However, iTunes lists the "artist" of the podcasts as "Passion 101" and not my name, "Adam Sheck", is there something I'm not doing properly here?  Also, my "Podcast Description" is just my subtitle.

Thanks,
Adam

Can you reply with the web address/feed url so we can take a look?

Are you in advanced mode and entering your name into the "Talent Name" field? If you are in simple mode, PowerPress will use your blog's title as the Talent Name.

Yes, I learned about "advanced" mode and entered it yesterday.  Then I pinged, but either iTunes hasn't updated or it hasn't done anything.  I also use feedburner.  Would that cause any kind of conflict here?

Also, what about the overall blog "description", that seems to be the subtitle.

Thanks,
Adam

I see some confusion. If you are in advanced mode, you ened to go to the custom feeds section and edit the 'podcast' feed. Once you put the appropriate information in the specified fields you should be all set.

I guess I AM confused.  Do you mean advanced settings under bluberry in wordpress or under my bluberry account?  I'm assuming in bluberry account.  There, under "general settings" in the advanced mode, I put in the "talent" name as author, and all of the specific itunes urls, etc.  I did that yesterday, and pinged it, and today, 24 hours later, the author is still "passion 101 blog" not "adam sheck" who is the "talent".  I don't see any "custom feeds section", only the general. Sorry if I'm slow, where exactly is this "custom feeds" and the "podcast" feed?  It seems like it's under "general" to me.

Thanks,
Adam

Sorry for the delay, I've been busy with WordCamp Columbus this weekend. I'm glad you were able to figure it out.
