"channel contains more than one image" error in feed validator
« on: February 28, 2016, 03:20:17 pm »
When I put my podcast feed https://blubrry.com/aynrandhero into feedvalidator.org (as suggested in the podcasting manual), I get a range of errors. I think the only one I need to worry about is on line 44 with the <image> tag. My main image shows up fine on my blubrry page.

When I attempt to list podcast in itunes the feed will not validate.

It is beyond my knowledge on how to it. is there a resource on how to change my podcast feed so that it only lists the image once?

It turns out that I needed to set the "explicit" function in powerpress/itunes.

The problem you see in feedvalidator.org (I'm assuming you are using that) is with feedvalidator.org.  It's very out of date when it comes to podcasting.  It's a great basic feed validator for blog feeds, but doesn't know about the newer specifications for podcasting.

You should use a much more up to date validator at http://podba.se  There is also http://castfeedvalidator.com.  Either of these are a better choice to make sure your feed is working correctly for iTunes and other podcast directories and apps.
