Can't Validate Feed
« on: August 05, 2014, 01:13:39 am »
I hope I am posting this in the right place; I'm sorry if it is not… I am very new to all of this.  I'm having trouble getting my feed to validate.  Googling the error message I receive from feed burner reveals that my issue is not new, and that the error is on my end, but I am still unsure of how to fix it.  My podcast is embedded on my site, and libsyn is hosting the mp3.  I understand that the 404 error means that the feed is empty, but … how do I put my podcast in the feed, beyond it already being published to my website (wordpress)?

I don't know if the following matters, but: the person who set up my WP site named my Podcasts page with the slug name "".  I have tried, in vain, to rename the last part to just "/podcast/" but it appears that page already exists *somewhere* in my WP admin, although I cannot see it anywhere.  Not sure if that has anything to do with this? I already tried updating and then deactivating all other plugins also, to try to troubleshoot, but that didn't work.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Website/WP and podcast info is below.  Thank you in advance.

* Page on my website (wordpress) where the podcast can be heard:

* The podcast on Libsyn (which has been entered in the WP Podcast Episode "Media URL" box, and validated on WP):

*The error message:
This feed does not validate.
Server returned HTTP Error 404: Not Found [help]
In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.
line 2, column 0: Unable to validate namespace: See the RawVoice specification at [help]
<rss version="2.0"
line 36, column 63: Image title doesn't match channel title [help]

It is validating now.  What did you change?

Looks like when you first did it, your mp3 was not posted to the feed.   Now it is.
