Embeding Player in Facebook feed
« on: November 10, 2013, 11:58:55 am »
I would like to be able to embed my podcast in a Facebook feed. I can post the page but not have the player in feed. According to Facebooks open graph data I need to declare some Meta Tags in the page header for the player to show. As an example if you run this bandcamp page through the Facebook debugger (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fpinheadrecords.bandcamp.com%2Ftrack%2F4-aspirin-morning-anarchy-cake) You will see the way they get the song to post is to declare it as a video with the proper tags.

Is there a native way to do this with Blubrry? If not is their a reccomended plugin that works with blubrry to automate it? Right now my meta is generated by my sites theme but in order to automate it I think Blubrry would have to provide the feed information as a formatted set of OG tags.

Some people have had luck with RSS Graffiti (a facebook app) http://www.rssgraffiti.com/

Not sure if the player works on it anymore or not.  I just post a link to my podcast episode posts and people can listen on my page.

This sorta works but not in the way I would like as it only generates the post for my own page. I would like the page to have the proper Meta data declared in the header so that whenever anyone posts it it would come up with a player. It looks like it may not be available however within the current release.

I'm not really an expert in facebook.  Maybe someone else on the forum is.
