Wrong Information Being Sent to iTunes
« on: April 03, 2013, 02:38:35 pm »
I initially set up my podcast correctly using Bluberry.

I then started using FeedBlitz. Their redirection seemed to cause problems, making the information on my podcast page on Apple change. Gone were the descriptions from my podcast and it's place was my name. It's bizarre.

FeedBlitz have added an option to exclude categories from redirection, however the wrong feed is redirected. That is, their feed redirects http://www.kevinmuldoon.com/business-hangout/feed/ when my podcast feed URL is http://www.kevinmuldoon.com/feed/business-hangout/.

4 or 5 days ago I switched off the plugin entirely however my itunes page has not changed.

There doesn't seem to be any redirection occurring on my website, so I'm a bit stumped as to what is going on.

Any ideas on how this can be resolved? iTunes doesn't let me submit my feed again and I have made changed via the Bluberry plugin and nothing has changed, so I'm out of ideas.

2 things..

We don't recommend using feedblitz (or any 3rd party feed services)

Second, it takes up to 3 days for your itunes listing to update once you have changed a feed.

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the quick response.

Yeah I didn't want to use a third party service, however they didn't have a category exclusion option until after I had installed the plugin.

It's been over 3 days already. Do Apple sometimes take a little longer?

Yes, I have seen it take up to 2 weeks with Apple

Send me your itunes id or the feed itunes is pulling and I will take a look...
