Huge drop in stats when switched to TPN
« on: December 15, 2011, 02:00:41 pm »
Hello... I am over at TPN, which does not have a forum to use so I thought I would post my questions here. Before I started using the TPN stat system our little shows was showing an average of 700 views a month through Feedburner for the last year. Now that I am using the TPN stats it dropped to one 7th of that total the very first month and has stayed that way for the past months. I am pretty sure that I have everything set up correctly... otherwise I would not be getting stats, right?

We do not use a worpress site so we can not use the plugins that everyone else seems to use. If someone would not mind and take a quick look at out set up to see if all is well.

Here is a link to our podcast page http://www.modders-inc.com/modules.php?name=Podcast

Here is our feedburner RSS feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/Modders-IncPodcasts

Here is our straight RSS feed http://www.modders-inc.com/podcast/feed.xml

Thanks

First mistake was trusting feedburner.. This is a pretty typical reaction by people that actually have trusted them..

All I can really say is that Feedburner is designed to measure rss feed subscribers. Our stats are designed to measure downloadable media not rss views and to exclude bots and every other non human thing that touches media file. We have worked very hard to provide highly accurate podcast stats.. Sadly feedburner barely can keep up with copying your rss feed.

So long as you have our redirect implemented and no service is stripping it out you are ok.
