My Video Podcast Tools
« on: January 11, 2007, 12:02:23 pm »
I'm a Windows PC user. These are the software tools that I'm using to edit and encode video podcasts.

Capture and Editing - Magix Movie Edit Pro $60, Windows Movie Maker Free.
File Conversion - Canopus Procoder Express $60, Quicktime Pro $29.99.

You could spend a lot more on software, but these really work well for me.

That is cool!

It just so happens that the tools for desktop pro-audio also translate well to podcast production.  I suppose you could say we spent, well, nothing on podcast tools because we use everything we already had.  But, the tools we use cost, ummmmm, more than the ones you are.  But the cool thing is it is not necessary to spend that kind of money to have a voice.

While I've got several models that I've created for video podcasts, we've yet to HAVE our first one.  I recently got a nice Dell laptop and have considered running through a rendition of either our show, or a 1GuyTalking show where I push to our other shows on the network.

I really want to get into what is video podcasting and hope there are others out there.
