Title: Error resolving feed address
Post by: Tim Elliott on October 01, 2018, 08:00:00 pm
Have an issue with a client feed that doesn't verify. In fact, it looks like both CastFeedValidator and Podbase don't see the feed. Checked permissions, caching/security plugins, reset permalinks and still it doesn't show up in the validators. Deleted PowerPress, deleted all its rows in wp-options and did a fresh reinstall. Still not valid. But Chrome and Edge see/display the feed fine. Firefox opens VLC for some reason, but that could be my bad (I'm on Windows 10).

The feed is: https://www.daduniversity.com/feed/podcast/

One other data point is the current iTunes feed for this podcast is: http://www.dudestodads.com/feed/podcast/

We plan on changing the feed with iTunes once we have valid feed (the podcast is moving domains).

Any feedback appreciated.

Are you using any other podcasting or feed-related plugins on your website? If so, disable those and try the feed again.

No, we are not.

I've also turned off all the other plugins except some related to display of content. Still does not validate.

Feed is now validating just fine on CastFeedValidator. I can also load it without issues in a web browser. Pretty sure none of that was possible the last time I looked at it. Are you still having issues with the feed?

We determined the host was blocking RSS; now fixed. Thanks for the follow up!
