Title: ID3 Tag editor
Post by: techRL on May 05, 2011, 11:02:04 pm
Pull the mp3 ID3 tags out into text boxes (auto-detect), then allow tag textboxes to be updated from the Meta Box when attaching a podcast to a post. This is built into getID3() that is included with the plugin and you're already pulling out length and filesize. I'd be interested in Title, Subtitle, Contributing Artists, Album Artist, Album, Year, #, Genre.

Hmmm.. Not sure how that would work, but it might.

Thanks for the idea.

If you already created the mp3, I don't see much value in displaying the ID3 information. If you are familiar with Podcasting, only the title duration and file size is really usable as FEED meta data.

One place such exported information could be used is the iTunes Summary field so a user does not have to copy paste it again.

Thank you
