Media URL exceeded redirect limit of 12 (cURL)
« on: June 13, 2018, 12:54:25 pm »
I'm trying to upload my first podcast episode and I keep getting this error message: Media URL exceeded redirect limit of 12 (cURL).

Every post I read here related to this issue asked for the specific link to the audio file. Here's mine: http://melaniedenny.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Episode-000-Welcome.mp3

How do I fix it? Please help!!

Something is causing that media file URL to redirect a bunch of times. I can't even get it to load in a web browser. Are you using a CDN service like Cloudfront or something similar? If so, that may be the source of the problem. You should probably check with support for the company hosting the site to see if they can figure out what's going on.

I just uploaded it to my Wordpress site. Should I do it in like Google drive or something?

File storage services like Google Drive aren't good for podcasting. If you want to truly solve this problem, get media hosting from a dedicated podcast-services company like Blubrry:
https://create.blubrry.com/resources/podcast-media-hosting/

You can use promo code SHAWN to get your first month's service free.
