enclosure tags not showing in feed
« on: February 12, 2018, 01:06:34 pm »
I recently moved our site from podpress to powerpress. We were using category feeds for our podcasts previously so I enabled powerpress category podcasting. However the feeds for those categories do not include the enclosure tags for any episodes I post to those categories using powerpress (all the old episodes show up in the feed). If I add our blubrry created feed key to the end of the category feed the enclosure tags show up. I wanted to keep all of our old feeds unchanged so that our listeners could maintain their current settings and the show would seemlessly move forward.

Here are the examples of what I am talking about:
http://www.chain-attack.com/category/episodes/feed/
http://www.chain-attack.com/category/episodes/feed/?wpmfeedkey=1;5e8ff98ec7ec28c230dc1305f928c9c7

Any idea why the enclosure tags are not showing up in the normal category feed?
I am experiencing this same behavior on our other podcast in a different category.

The feed here:

Currently contains 49 enclosure tags. Are you still having trouble with it?

Yes... as noted.. the new episode posted using powerpress does not contain enclosure tags.. The 49 previous were posted using podpress and converted when I moved to Powerpress last week.

Thats why this feed has 50 tags: http://www.chain-attack.com/category/episodes/feed/?wpmfeedkey=1;5e8ff98ec7ec28c230dc1305f928c9c7

Did you follow the instructions here to migrate from podPress to PowerPress?

Yes.
I do not have any issues with the podcasts that were originally posted using podpress. They seem to have converted just fine and show up correctly in the posts and feed. Only the episodes which were created using PowerPress are not showing up in the non-feedkey feed (but they show up if you append the feedkey). The 49 tags that show up were the previous 49 episodes all created under podpress, the 50th and newest is the issue.

Go to the Category Podcasting settings page within PowerPress and make sure Strict Categories is checked.

Then, to to the episode that's not showing up in the feed and edit it so you can see the existing Podcast Episode. Make sure the correct category has been selected in the category dropdown menu inside the Podcast Episode box.
