German Spam
« on: September 24, 2015, 11:39:24 am »
So my podcast feed got hacked by german spam. Is there a relatively easy way to get rid of this with the basic services? I really need this resolved.

It's hard to say for sure what the source of something like this could be. Make sure your WordPress installation, theme and plugins are all up to date. Then, try the things listed on this support page:
http://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/using-powerpress/diagnosing-feed-andor-player-issues-with-powerpress/

If that doesn't help, could also try contacting your web hosting provider to see if they can revert your website to a version that was known to be working pre-hack. You may lose some data from the site if it comes to that, tho.

It's likely your site has been hacked.

As Shawn said, your best bet is to contact your wordpress hosting company and see if they can clean it up for you.

Thanks guys. I assumed it was probably on the host provider level but I just wanted to check this as an avenue in case there was just a hole on the blubrry end. Thanks again.
