HI,
My feed (
http://transpersonalradio.com/feed/podcast/) is no longer working with iTunes.
I’ve Googled iTunes RSS feed issues and read the blubrry forums.
I’m using WordPress 4.2.1 and Blubrry PowerPress Version 6.0.2. All plugins, core files, and theme are up to date with latest versions.
The last time my podcast successfully updated on iTunes with my RSS feed was 28 January 2015.
Around 12:30pm 3 May 2015, I uploaded a new podcast episode using the Blubrry upload function on the WP Post page. All my podcasts are currently hosted on Blubrry. Upon uploading the episode, Stitcher, Spreaker, Soundcloud, the Android app, and elsewhere were updated within a couple hours.
The new episode I uploaded on Saturday does not show up on my iTunes page in the browser. And does not automatically appear in the iTunes ‘feed' when I refresh my podcast from the iTunes software on my computer. It does not appear in iTunes store. e.g. “People that subscribe to your feed in iTunes will get the new episodes as you post them but the listing at iTunes can lag by a few days (or up to a week or so) behind your feed.” That is not true in my case. Even those already subscribed via iTunes are not getting the new episode posted on Saturday.
However, that episode IS there in the RSS feed XML file.
It has now been several days and iTunes still has not updated, even though my podcast is showing up in many other distribution channels from the same RSS feed.
I also submitted changes to the description of the podcast for iTunes and those changes are not reflected.
I have checked the feed using feedvalidator.org. These are the results:
Congratulations!
This is a valid RSS feed.
Recommendations
This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.
line 2, column 0: Unable to validate namespace:
http://www.rawvoice.com/rawvoiceRssModule/. See the RawVoice specification at
http://www.rawvoice.com/services/tools-and-resources/rawvoice-rss-2-0-module-xmlns-namespace-rss2/ [help]
<rss version="2.0"

<title>Transpersonal Radio - Transpersonal Radio</title>
I did recently install WP Super Cache and read elsewhere that plugin can cause an issue with iTunes and the RSS feed, so I have since disabled and deleted it even though I did not have any reference to the cache in my RSS feed that others complained about.
I have not disabled all the plugins and restarted them as everything was working fine previously with the plugins I have installed. The only new one is WP Super Cache, which I have now removed. However, when you say “disable plugins one by one and test” (
http://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/using-powerpress/diagnosing-feed-andor-player-issues-with-powerpress/) Does that mean disable one plugin at a time and then wait up to a week in between to see if the episode(s) are appearing in iTunes? If so, that doesn’t seem like a viable option...
I also noticed my htaccess file had these entries:
IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*
<Limit GET POST>
order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from all
</Limit>
<Limit PUT DELETE>
order deny,allow
deny from all
</Limit>
No idea what that means so I created a new htaccess based on the default WordPress install and replaced the existing htaccess file.
I checked my feed size. It is 142KB.
As far as I know there are no feed timeout errors or 500 / 403 errors.
I contacted my hosting company and verified that Apache is fully HTTP 1.1 compliant. Server was tested by tech support to make sure GET, HEAD, and POST requests function properly with HTTP 1.1.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
