Powerpress / Wishlist Member conflict
« on: February 24, 2015, 10:09:55 am »
Hello, I have a client who uses Wishlist Member as their "paywall" solution and we've run into conflicts with the PowerPress plugin. As we disable each plugin on the site, Wishlist is clearly the one that is conflicting with the feed of Blubrry Powerpress. Players don't show up at all on the posts and the feed is lost in iTunes.

I've searched the forum and have a read the possible workarounds but haven't seen a final "solution" anywhere. Is this something that should be taken up with Wishlist Member?

See: http://forum.blubrry.com/index.php/topic,2651.msg6719.html#msg6719

There is a fix in there that you add to your wp-config.php file.

Sounds great mgdell but I don't have a wp-config in my theme options.  :-\ This is a genesis theme.

What I do have are (in order):

404.php

comments.php

footer.php

functions.php

header.php

index.php

framework.php

init.php

page.php

page_archive.php

page_blog.php

search.php

sidebar-alt.php

sidebar.php

single.php

wpoptins-page-back.php

wpoptins-page.php

wpoptins-style.php

style.css

rtl.css

You have to go in FTP and download the file from the directory that wordpress is installed in.

Edit the file in a text editor and re-upload.  It's not a theme function and can't be edited in wordpress' editor.

You might want to hire someone to do it if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.

I guess one or the other of the plugins corrected the issue because now PowerPress is able to work with no issues - and I didn't change anything yet. :) :-\
