Player disappears with update--in some places
« on: December 30, 2014, 03:15:04 pm »

Okay, I've since rolled back the latest update of Powerpress, but on the page at:
http://lifelinecoaches.com/leadership-lifeline-online-radio/ there are teaser posts and the player showing properly.
You have to scroll down to the teaser posts and see that they include the player plus when you click through to the article, again, the player shows.

Well after upgrading to 6.0, The teaser posts disappear with the upgrade to 6.0 (see screenshot below):

The 'full article' view shows the player.

I asked my developer and he told me to ask you the following:
"why is it not working (showing the "me-cannotplay" class) on one page and not the other" (the "other" being the screenshot link after upgrade).

Hope that means something to you. Thank you in advance for your help.

What do you have set for the PowerPress Settings  > Appearance tab, the field "Having problems?"

It was set to 'no problems' but I set it to 'yes please try to fix' and they still don't show.

Go to audio player and check which player is seleced? We removed some flash players, that may be the cause.

Yes, that I think was it. When I choose the MediaElement.js Media Player (which is what I have it set to) it doesn't show on the teaser post but the HTML5 Audio Player shows on the teaser and inside the post.

But I really don't like the HTML Audio player, it's too minimalistic... are there any other choices.

The mediaelement.js player is what is packaged with WordPress.

Lets test that it's not a WordPress issue by adding the audio shortcode to the post.

Does this make the player appear on your home page with PowerPress 6.0?
