Statistics not updating after Password reset
« on: October 14, 2014, 05:04:31 am »
Hi all,

I recently reset my blubrry password.
Ever since doing that my download statistics seem to be stuck on October 10 when I look at my Wordpress dashboard.
When I look at the blubrry website stats they are updated. So there is something wrong with the Wordpress plugin pulling in the data from blubrry.
Anyone any solutions for that?

thx
Chris

In your wordpress dashboard, go to 'PowerPress Settings', navigate to "Services and Stats", then click the button "Click here to configure Blubrry Statistics and Hosting Services." Enter your account email, password and, if prompted, select the appropriate program from the list. For detailed instructions, visit the Blubrry Services and Statistics help page (link: http://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/powerpress-settings/services-stats/).

I had the very same problem. How long do I need to wait to see if this worked?

Thanks, Chris. It has taken my podcast a lot longer than a day though. I input my new blubrry password in the powerpress plugin. Then I check my feed and see that it has found my most recent episode. I contact iTunes asking them to manually update my feed for me, and by the time they look at it, the feed is broken again. They see that all the episodes in the broken feed are available in iTunes and believe there is nothing to fix. My question is, why isn't the PowerPress plugin maintaining my new password, and consequently my feed?

Post your feed address and I will take a look..

I suspect there is more going on than the powerpress blubrry password.  It should have no affect on the feed. You can run powepress and never login to blubrry.com if you want and it will work.
