How to add google analytics to pop-out page
« on: March 18, 2014, 03:37:59 pm »
On the popup "Play in new window" page with the address "[URL]/powerpress_pinw=" am I able to add my Google Analytics code into the .php?

I'm not sure in which file I would add it to, and on that page, where I would add it to.

Suggestions?

Google analytics isn't a good way to track media.  It's much better to use our free stats at blubrry.com.    See: http://create.blubrry.com/manual/statistics-analytics-measuring-performance/

GA is great for web analytics but does a very poor job of media stats.

Intelligent email marketing is based on data capture.

I agree that tracking downloads is "helpful" but not "useful".  The essence of email marketing is to track the behavior [of customers] of which Blubrry is currently incapable.

I'd agree with most other podcasters that it is extremely useful to know how much of the content users are listening to vs. just that they downloaded the content.
