Hi all, new user on the forum here. I've been using Powerpress for ages but today after an update to my theme the feed has reverted to the Default powerpress image.
I manage the podcasts via categories and I've made sure each category has the right image in both the RSS and iTunes fields but then when I do the "Feed Validation" it doesn't look like Powerpress has changed the image from the default (see code below)

<itunes:author>Digital Music Trends</itunes:author>
<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit>
<itunes:image href="http://www.digitalmusictrends.com/wp-content/plugins/powerpress/itunes_default.jpg" />
<itunes:subtitle>Weekly podcasts on the latest news in the digital music industry</itunes:subtitle>
<image>
<title>Digital Music Trends &#187; DMT Audio Feed</title>
<url>http://www.digitalmusictrends.com/wp-content/plugins/powerpress/rss_default.jpg</url>
<link>http://www.digitalmusictrends.com/category/dmt-audio-feed/</link>

What can I do?

Found a temporary fix by replacing the default image for Powerpress to a generic one for my shows just so they don't look terrible on iTunes, but the question remains as to why when I'm setting a new default image for each category the new setting is not reflected in the feed, anyone got ideas?

Thanks,

Andrea

Please provide URLs to the category feeds so we can look at them.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Here are the four feeds, at the moment all four point to the default Wordpress image (which I now changed to my own logo to patch things up), if I change the image in the category podcasting it doesn't seem to register in the feed...

Thanks,

When changing the image are you doing so in the "iTunes" tab? the feed settings tab also has an image but its not the same. Technically there are 2 image settings.

I've changed the image in both the RSS and iTunes multiple times, it just doesn't reflect in the feed itself. I took a quick screencast to show what happens, ends with the feed validation to show that it hasn't changed the image defaulted... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yaZgTAevp0
thanks!

Can you reply with the link to the image you are trying to use? I will test with that. May be something related to the file.

I tested with those images, it's saving and applying to the feeds for me. I am testing with PowerPress 5.0 beta. It is pretty stable, if you would like to test with the beta version, let me know. That will at least help me narrow down if it's a 4.0.9 problem or something else.

Sure thanks, as long as it's stable enough not to break the feeds that's fine by me. Let me know how that works.

We've been using it for the powerpresspodcasdt.com, and our CEO on his site, www.geeknewscentral.com.  With that said, once you install it, clear any caches (browser and plugin caches if you have them), then verify your feeds using feed validator. Warnings are ok, errors though are a problem.

Here's the beta link: http://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/powerpress-beta/

If you want future emails when additional beta releases are released, please email me at cio [at] rawvoice dot com.

in the end decided to wait for official release, had a myriad of problems with Inmotion hosting this week and didn't want to add to the workload in case anything went wrong.... will let you know as soon as I install next Tuesday.
