question about a rejected feed
« on: January 30, 2013, 08:48:24 am »
Hi guys,
        me again.

now this is question linked to my previous podcast thread in here called  :        moved from podpress to powerpress still having trouble PLEASE HELP

However this is a different problem. I my web guy to sort out my podcast problem and gave me an RSS feed to submit to iTunes which is :

http://www.ukpornpodcast.co.uk/category/podcasts-itunes/feed/

iTunes accepted it and after 3 days it has coem back reject I am so pissed off with this now, I tried subscribing before I submitted the feed and everything works, all the episodes to date are there and it lts you download them.

However i got a link to read to say why it had been rejected..... I still dont undertand it, instead of just telling you I get a link to all what it could be. I told them it was adult and marked it as so, and the first one we did last year of the same show worked fine until the site design, theres nothing different about it than there was the first time round so how do I get them to accept it

Or how do I create another feeb and try again??? If you noticed something wrong with the feed let me know but please explain carefully ,Im not very technical, aslo I have another to podcast shows different than this one but still on the same site, how would I get them on iTunes as a separate show? Is this done through powerpress?

Thanks

I would contact Apple to find out specifically why it was rejected. From past experience though, if someone complains about inappropriate material, pornography can easily be considered inappropriate, iTunes will remove the listing.

You can create new feed using FeedBurner, or some other service, but I don't think that is the problem.

Hi, I was told this :

Unfortunately, the podcast has been rejected for one or more of the following reasons:

   • Technical problems, usually the lack of episodes or the inability to download or play episodes. These problems can almost always be avoided by testing your feed using Subscribe to Podcast in the Advanced menu prior to submission.
   • Requirement of a login or password to access the feed or any of the episodes.
   • Strong prevalence of sexual content.
   • Use of explicit language in the title, description or cover art of the podcast.
   • Use of explicit language in the podcast when the <explicit> tag is not set to "yes".
   • Apparent misuse of copyrighted material or other violation of third party rights.
   • Inclusion of offensive material, such as racist content or child pornography.
   • Misrepresentational use of Apple copyright, including "iPod," “iPhone,” “iPad,” “Apple TV” and "iTunes."

but it as none of that, yes its porn but it got accepted before and was online for ages, it was when the site got a re-skin the podcast link had been broken as the podcasts had been moved but when put back where they work it was no good , it didnt work so submitted again....... theres nothing different that the last time porn or not

Not sure why your arguing with me, contact Apple, its their podcast directory.

Apple will never say specifically in their automated email you receiver which reason your show was rejected, and the only way to know is to press Apple for an answer.

I can tell you though you can toss out technical problems, usually Apple will wait 30 days after they have issues with a feed before they remove the listing in hopes the issue will be fixed or was temporary.
