Error message while trying to upload the podcast image

Currently on iTunes my podcast has the powerpress image.  I want to change this.
I'm using a 1400x1400 pixel image - it's a jpeg. 
When I try to upload I get this:  Image must be in RGB color space (CMYK is not supported).   What does this mean? How do I correct?

It means your jpg is not an RGB image, which is really weird, all jpegs are RGB. Question I have is how did you convert your image to a jpeg? I have a feeling that the application did not actually convert the image it just changed the file extension.

The image was changed to the 1400x1400 pixel format on photoshop by an experienced graphic designer.  We then tried a new image in black and white (in case color was the issue) - again created in photoshop, but still won't upload - get the "needs to be 1400x1400 pixels" - and I'm sure both images meet this spec. I'm absolutely stopped!

The image you sent me is 300 x 300. I am using IrfanView to view images. I also drag-dropped the image into a browser window tab to confirm that I wasn't just seeing things.

To change an image from CMYK to RGB, in photoshop, go to image > format and change it there.  Black and whilte (Or grayscale) will not work either.  Must be RGB.
