audio file not playing

I just installed the plugin, seems great in terms of features. The first audio file I am trying out is not working :-(

When trying out the "verify" link, it gives this error messae :
"Format not supported, module "module.audio-video.riff.php" was removed.."

I really don't understand what's wrong. No similar message was posted in this forum.

Can someone please help me out, as I need to distribute this podcast to several media partners later today !

The audio file was encoded as mono 20.05khz.  For best computability, you should encode as stereo or joint stereo at 44.1khz.  There should be a setting in whatever program you use to encode your mp3 file.

It did play for me if I hit the download button.  It also could be your web server is not setup for bit serving.  This may make streaming impossible or at least REALLY SLOW.  You should put your media on a media hosting account.  Blubrry offers hosting here: https://secure.blubrry.com/podcast-publishing-premium-with-hosting/

Thanks Mike, for the quick reply! I saved the audio file again in 44.1khz, stereo. Used my amazon storage space to upload, here is the new file

Got back to the post in wordpress and added the new link, clicked the "verify" link, got again the same error message :

RIFF is a different format and should not be in an mp3. You can't rename file extension to mp3 and expect it to work, you need to convert it to mp3. The application such as Cakewalk (Makes RIFF files) will have instructions somewhere in their documentation how to convert it to an mp3.
