Fatal Error - Allowed Memory Size Exhausted.
« on: July 31, 2012, 01:12:01 pm »
as I can't seem to figure out the problem after much rooting about on Google.

I have a wordpress site www.danielbbotkin.com. Using the Magazine Theme by StudioPress for the Genesis Framework.

I've uploaded a new podcast episode for on my website using PowerPress. The media file appears to upload fine to the server, but PowerPress will not verify. I get this message:

I have another, previously posted podcast that works just fine.
The Wordpress

Getting this error when I try to verify the media file URL on the Post page:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 37748736 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1966080 bytes) in /hsphere/local/home/botkin/danielbbotkin.com/wp-content/plugins/powerpress/getid3/module.tag.id3v2.php on line 1829

I've never had this problem using PowerPress on this site before. I do have a previously posted audio file that works fine, was verified properly. The audio file is smaller than the maximum upload size. I have tried other, much smaller audio files, and they will not verify either.

I do not have Contact Form 7 plugin activated on my site, which I have seen may cause problems with Powerpress. I have checked using the PowerPress Diagnostics in the TOOLS section and it confirms that I have a problem.

It displayed this information: Uploading Artwork
The following test checks to see that you can upload and store files on your web server.
Failed - PowerPress is unable to write to the /hsphere/local/home/botkin/danielbbotkin.com/wp-content/uploads/powerpress/ directory

I looked online and there are people experiencing this - could be a problem playing with other plugins, or a memory issue? I found this:

Any ideas? I am not savvy when it come to updating php files.
Hope to hear from someone.
Thanks!

Do you have jetpack installed?

If you do, deactivate it and see if the problem goes away.

There is a problem with the plugin JetPack that can cause this issue.
