Not sure if this is fixable, but here goes:
Podcast works perfectly until I try to password protect it. It's not a roles problem. Rather it's the posts themselves. If I make them private or password protect them, the feed just doesn't work in iTunes. It'll work if I make them public though. I can go to the link itself when posts are private -
http://powellhistory.com/crash021211/?feed=crashcourse - and that works. I can include log-in details using username:password@powellhistory.... but it doesn't make a difference. Am I right in thinking that posts just have to be public then?
To clarify what I mean by "works": I can clink on the link and the feed has all the correct details. The feed is being generated. iTunes just doesn't like it.
Further: when I try to validate the feed in feedburner, with login details at the start, it generates a similar problem telling me it can't get access to anything.
Playing around with it some more: tried using Role Scoper. Still produces the same problem. The site is functional, the RSS feed is valid, but iTunes just won't have any of it.
Cheers,
Rory
