Listing on Blubrry.com
« on: August 26, 2011, 12:45:50 pm »
I've been slowly configuring everything and am wondering why my show page at blubrry.com doesn't show the following:

1. The big looking player at the top.
2. My updated description
3. My location
4. A place to update my twitter account
5. A list of my latest blog posts from my own blog

My page is blubrry.com/blackbeltproject. I compared it to the one at blubrry.com/geeknewscentral

I did just enable my blog api today. I was planning on publishing only on my blog. Will blubrry pick it up?

Thanks!

Question, do you want to host the "web site" portion of your podcast at http://www.blubrry.com/blackbeltproject/ or on your own web site? The answer to this question will determine if you need to update settings in blubrry.com, or just update blubrry.com with your feed URL hosted else where.

I am putting everything on my own site. The podcast files are hosted with blubrry.

Okay, sign into your blubrry.com account, go to Settings and for your program's RSS Feed, make sure you enter your feed URL to your blog's podcast feed. Then do the "refresh" option, and all of your content on your blog should then appear on blubrry.com/blackbeltproject/

I had already tried that but it didn't work. The feed I entered was:
http://blackbeltproject.com/category/podcast/feed/

But it still didn't fill in the page.

For what ever reason, your feed (http://blackbeltproject.com/category/podcast/feed/) has no <enclosure> tags in it, which is the special sauce that makes a blog post into a podcast episode. I'm guessing some other plugin is modifying this.
Try disabling suspicious plugins, which could include subscription/payment plugins, caching plugins and anything to do with feeds. Hopefully you can find the plugin that is causing the problem and find a fix/replacement for it.
