Please help: Error occurred obtaining media information.

Hi,

I am getting the error message Error occurred obtaining media information whenever I try to link to a file. However, when I view the page on the site, the link is actually working and displaying. If this were my own site, perhaps I could live with it, but it i a client site and I don't like them using something which appears broken.

Can anyone please please please help with a possible fix?
