Filtering and Date Ranges
« on: June 15, 2011, 10:09:27 am »
We recently signed up for the Premium Service.
Two questions:

(1) We normally run a report from Wednesday to Wednesday, and then compare it to previous weeks.  Would it be possible to enter date ranges to obtain this information?

(2) The listeners from China are not of interest to us. Is there is a way to filter out the impact of listeners from that country?

Thanks

1. We will add this to the feature TODO list.

2. Yes, we report all the country information. Just take the number and subtract it from your unique total.

Excluding the activity from China is more than subtracting from the total.
When we look at the detail downloads, we have no idea which podcast downloads are being counted from China.

In our case, China already represents 18% of all activity.
But for our sponsors, it is outside their market and interest.
Is there any way a filter can be setup to exclude all the activity from China?

No. We have such a feature on our TODO list.

When we do ad deals (RawVoice/Blubrry) we report the country totals in the first place, since almost all campaigns are market targeted. WE do this on an episode basis.

This week China jumped up to second place in our listener list.
China had 1,147 downloads vs. 3,509 for the U.S.A.

Interesting, when we look at Google's Analytics, there is only one listener in China.
How can there be 1,147 downloads without visitors to the website to find out about the shows?

It looks to us like we have a podcast download data problem
If there is anyway you can advance the extraction of Chinese downloads on the "to do" list, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Barry

We already said we're working on a feature in the future to filter totals by country. We're not singling out China, you will be able to select the countries you want (when this feature is available).
