Not able to select media after uploading
« on: May 30, 2011, 03:18:27 pm »
Today we are not able to link to our MP3 files after uploading.

When we land at the screen that says 'select' we can't click any link in the browser.

If we try to 'hard link' the file by pasting the file path, we get a 404 error.

We have tried this with multiple browsers and multiple files.

Is there an issue with the hosting today?

Thanks

Todd

Great.  Thank you.   Here's a little more info.

We are able to rollover the file names (the file name background turns yellow).   We can delete the file.  We can upload a new file.  But we can not select the file.

Also, upon uploading a new file, we can not select the 'close' link or the red X.

On our end, we made new master files and tried uploading them  (hope that doesn't count against our uploads).  That didn't work.   We cleared our WP cache.  Still nothing.

We then tested loading them to our Rackspace account and they worked fine.   So I have to assume that it is something on the server side.   Please let me know what you find out.

Thanks

homefries,

What you are describing sounds like either...

A) a conflicting plugin was installed recently (try disabling all of your plugins except PowerPress to see if that is the problem)
B) you just upgraded PowerPress and is half caching a previous version (clear browser cache and disable Google Gears, if installed)
C) A WordPress caching plugin was not flushed/reset after upgrading PowerPress. (Try disabling your WP caching plugins to see if it fixes the problem)

We replaced our caching program as well as the one we use to host our images on a CDN.  That seemed to resolve it.

Thank you.
