G'day everyone from Sydney, Australia.

I have just joined here after taking part in the 24 Hour Podcast and also learning about what Blubrry is via GNC.

I have been podcasting since May 2007 and this afternoon I will be recording episode 70.

At the moment I am doing 3 podcasts.

The main podcast is "Erk Pod: all Erk, all the time....... and then some". It is produced weekly and usually runs for somewhere between 45 and 90 minutes (average 60 minutes). Co-hosted by my friend Drue, we talk about issues and subjects that affect us as Australians, talk some news and also from time to time I review and promote other podcasts. Then comes "Erk to the Diary Room". ETTDR was the initial focus of Erk Pod when I started in May 2007. It covers the Australian version of the reality TV show "Big Brother". Originallly ETTDR and Erk Pod content was on the same feed but I realise that not everyone is into the format and also that not all of my listeners are Australian so ETTDR is on a separate feed. During Australian BB season I am aiming for a weekly episode of about 60 minutes tops. Also co-hosted by Drue, we talk about what is going on with the show and at the moment out of season we are previewing the audition and housemate selection process. Finally is my new project, "Erk Pod Mini: Erk 365 Days A Year". I know that some people don't like long shows so I thought I'd set myself a challenge after being inspired by the 24 Hr Podcast. I thought that I'd set the goal for a daily podcast in 2008 (challenge!) and also restrict it to 5 minutes per episode (major challenge!). It will be about my daily life and what is in the news but also give Erk Pod and ETTDR updates. I will be interested to see if the 5 minute format is more popular and if people switch to one or the other or do both. Website: http://www.erkpod.com.au

Apart from podcasting, I am a passenger train driver, volunteer as a Dispatcher (formerly also a volunteer fireman) with my local Rural Fire Service and also am a volunteer official at motorsport events, mainly rallying.
