Media redirect with a p?
« on: April 06, 2011, 01:17:20 am »
A lot of my videos say http://media.techpodcasts.com/geekazine/p/blip.tv/whateverthefileis.m4v

I noticed the p/, which was really odd - especially if I copy the url and paste in another website (techpodcasts.tv), techpodcasts.tv will balk at the p/. I remove it and it finds the media file.

I looked in the media redirect area and it says: http://media.techpodcasts.com/geekazine/

Where is the p/ coming from?

Comes from PowerPress when you use Statistics redirects from Blubrry or TechPodcasts. They will be used in a future update in the statistics system. the /p/ is added on web pages and in-page players. It is not present in feeds.
