video player and embed not working

I've been trying your new 2.0 features in several of my Word Press blogs after upgrading and watching your video. The audio embed seems to be working fine and is much appreciated. I'm also excited about the video embed options, especially to have it picked up by my iTunes podcasts. I have 10 WordPress blogs and 5 of them link to iTunes. I use a lot of video from YouTube, Blip, and Vimeo, etc. I've tried your new video player on 4 of my blogs so far and though I'm pretty sure I've checked the appropriate boxes I'm having various problems. On one blog, such as at http://soundwell.lightreport.org/?p=184 the player shows up but with no embed code. So far on the other blogs, using 3 different themes, no player shows up at all, though all the url's are verified. For instance, http://photopoems.lightreport.org/?p=896 and http://video.lightreport.org/2011/03/08/photo-haiku-video-new-format/ and http://teachings.lightreport.org/?p=1447 - all of which currently have the video url embedded in the box. I've had major issues with your (and PodPress) player not working in the past and have gone to using the WordPress upoad/insert instead, is there a compatible issue of some kind? I look forward to getting it working.

Make sure your using the HTML5 player, looking at your first site it does not appear to be the new player. To activate the embed feature go to settings, media appearance and be sure to activate the embed link option.. So far as the player showing up, make sure you have set the default width and height in the settings so it fits in your posting area.

One way to make sure it is not the theme change your them to the default wordpress theme on a temporary basis, if the player appears as it should then their is a issue within your template if it still does not show deactivate plugins one at a time and refresh the page and see if deactivating any plugins makes a difference. The players were tested in a wide variety of templates and we know it works fine in the default wordpress template, this will help you narrow down if their is a plugin or template issue that we can then investigate.

tried each of those things, still no embed on the one that shows and can't get players to show at all on my other blogs, html5 player, default size, default theme as at http://photopoems.lightreport.org/?p=906, no suspect plugins, both firefox and internet explorer latest version

Being that we have only had a couple of people with video embed issues it is likely your theme. Did you follow my trouble shooting below?
