Podcasts producing 404 after wordpress problem
« on: October 01, 2010, 12:10:29 pm »
I had to replace my wp_option tables because they'd been corrupted. Now Powerpress is not working. Direct urls will play, like

http://maritimeaccident.org/podcasts/2/The_Case_Of_The_Rusty_Assassin.mp3

But the url on the player:

http://media.blubrry.com/confused_pilot/media.blubrry.com/macmaritimeaccident.org/podcasts/2/The_Case_Of_The_Rusty_Assassin.mp3

Just produces a 404.

I wold like some help, if any is available, to identify what the problem is.

Think you may have an extra value somewhere in your settings. Make sure in your Statistics Redirect URL fields, you only have one entry and it is http://media.blubrry.com/confused_pilot/. Check that your Media URL setting is configured correctly as well, it must start with http://. Just a stab imn the dark, this may be the appropriate value for your server: http://maritimeaccident.org/podcasts/2/ If you don't know how the Media URL setting works in PowerPress Settings, make sure it is blank. Setting this value to blank means you have to enter a complete URL when you create podcast episodes.

Your Media URL and your Statistics Redirect URLs are the only settings that can make these URLs go funny. If you fix both of those settings and your still having a problem, please submit a contact ticket www.blubrry.com/contact.php so we can start assisting you.
