Using Deprecated WordPress functions
« on: August 23, 2010, 11:45:22 am »
I just wanted to inform you that the plug-in (as of 1.0.9) is using deprecated functions.
I have WP_DEBUG set to true while i work on developing a plug-in for WordPress 3.0 and when I activated the Blubrry PowerPress plug-in, the following NOTICE shows up in the admin section:

Code: [Select]
Notice: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0! Usage of user levels by plugins and themes is deprecated. Use roles and capabilities instead.
When viewing the feed, the following deprecated notice shows up:
Code: [Select]
Notice: wp_specialchars is <strong>deprecated</strong> since version 2.8! Use esc_html() instead.
I hope that helps.

This has been fixed in the development version and will be included in the next release of PowerPress.

Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

This exact question was asked 2 years ago by someone else on the forum. I suspect this was a SPAM bot that just copied a previous message and re posted it with a SPAM link at the bottom.
