BOOK HOBBY, Show #7 is now online! Our motto at BookHobby.Com is "Books Are More Precious Than Gold" and our target audience are those booklovers who understand and agree with that saying! Each show we have a major review of an important new book and various other segments. Some of the segments include news of what monthly magazines are doing, interviews with authors, book-related new and, of course, our popular segment "Let's Judge A Book By Its Cover."

In this new show we start off with a review of THE NAME OF THE WIND by Patrick Rothfuss. As it happens, Amazon.Com has voted this novel one of the "best books of the year -- so far." We review it in the context of other epic Fantasy novels and explore whether it is truly a book which deserves such accolades. Then in a special segment for the book collector we talk a bit about how First Printings can often show up "married" to the wrong dust jacket and how book clubs sometimes work. There's even a special anecdote about an old friend, Dr. Isaac Asimov and a signed set of the FOUNDATION Trilogy.

On the website at www.bookhobby.com we offer many supplemental features. There are "quickie" or short reviews, news, feature reviews and what makes us, I hope, special -- a very large set of community Forums. In these message boards we encourage people to respond to the podcast, or enter their own ideas, reviews and comments. It's a lively, online community that if you love books we hope you will investigate.

Enjoy Show 7!
