jasonbutler42: Not sure, what error do you receive when you click verify?

PowerPress 1.0.9 released a week ago includes additional debug information about the error, so it should tell you something of more substance what could be the issue.

I am posting here because even when I tested your link, I got a huge error. Am I just in trouble because of the permissions on this server? All of the media is stored on a different server - I would think we would not need to write anything to the actual wordpress server. Is this harebrained?

Thanks,
Aris

Yes, if you read these diagnostics, you see a number of warnings and errors. So as long as your temp folder is not writable, the Verify feature will not work. The Verify feature needs the temporary folder in order to put the media content somewhere in order to read the information from it.
