Correct location for my podcasts RSS feed issues
« on: February 16, 2010, 10:23:09 am »
Hello! I am a new user of Blubrry and I am in a bit of a pickle... dill.. anyways, I have my podcast page, great. I am on iTunes, greater. I have my RSS feed running to my main page, maybe not so great. I am afraid that having it link to my main page I am causing my episodes to disappear from iTunes once they have been knocked into the archive due to more recent posts. I am thinking about changing my feed URL but there is a big ol' WARNING at the bottom of Blubrry that says the world might end if I do something wrong.

Am I doing something wrong?

Is there a better place to put my RSS feed, and will moving it cause any damage?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Website: www.rackpackcomics.com

iTunes: Rack Pack Comic Podcast

RSS Feed: http://rackpackcomics.com/?feed=rss2  (this looks like a mess, I'm assuming it is because it shares a page with ALL my main posts)

2 things..

First off, don't be afraid of changing your feed address with iTunes.  as long as both feeds still work, you will have no problem.  I would use http://rackpackcomics.com/?feed=podcast instead of your main RSS2 feed in iTunes.  That way your feed won't be as slow.

The other thing you can check / change to make sure things don't fall off the list is check the "Show the most recent" in your feed settings in Powerpress and make sure it's above 10 at least (50 is good).  If not, change it there and/or in your wordpress reading settings.

I hope this unpickles it a bit for you.

By the way, I prefer sweet pickles :)
