I am using Wordpress 2.8.4 and PowerPress 1.0.3 to syndicate Public Domain movie items on archive.org to Mediafly.com and then stream them to my Roku box. I do this because I like to have multiple Tag based feeds that I import to Mediafly, it makes managing what I watch easier.
The question I have is about RSS and the updating of feeds. I know Blubrry has nothing to do with Mediafly, so you can't speak for them, but I was wondering if the RSS Spec allows modification of an already published item.
I think I already know the answer to this question, so let me run that by you as well. In short "No" an already published item is immutable unless its guid is changed in which case it's not an update, but a new article.
Do I have that right?
