How podcast are downloaded?and which softwares are used as podcatchers?

The most common podcatcher is iTunes.

If you want, you can use Zune software.  There is another one called Juice that works on windows.

Don't forget to place your podcast on your web site. We have been amazed at the percentage of our listeners that never venture into iTunes. They only want to listen to our show directly from our site. Try to cover all the bases such as the suggestions above too.
