Images not showing in player with m4a Files.
« on: October 05, 2009, 11:57:47 am »
I am podcasting in m4a format at www.robertlafrance.com.

I have images embedded in the m4a files but the do not show with the powerpress plugin player (with the blubrry logo).  But, if I play them with iTunes, the images appear correctly.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Can I configure the plugin to use the mp3 player instead (in case the images can not be shown)?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't think you are doing anything wrong.

You can try this:  Go to the powerpress control panel and then Settings > Basic, for the Episode Entry box setting enable the Quicktime video player cover image option. You need 1.0.3 (latest version) to access it.

It also depends on what version of quicktime the user has.  It might work, it might not.  Give it a try.

The mp3 flash players are just for mp3.  The only way to use the flash players (audio only) is to use mp3 files.

Hope this helps!

I tried this but still no images.  I'm wondering if the player only handles the audio portion of the m4a file.

Does anyone know of a true m4a player for wordpress?

Thanks for your hep though!
